We only just got back after a long day of walking by the sea, so just a few picture highlights from today:
Golden week frenzy: we have officially entered Golden Week, which became apparent from the many beach barbecues, street decorations and street stands we passed on todays walk
Beach vibes: we had a long break midday at Ōura beach where we lounged in the sun and enjoyed some beautiful views over the Inland Sea
A visit to the local tile museum, which beautifully showcased the history and art of this old, local craft
The museum’s accompanying rose garden was in full bloom and impressive in its variety!
A last minute, fried-to-perfection karage (fried chicken) just before hopping on the train back home to Matsuyama
Tomorrow is our very last day of walking – temples 54 and 55 in Imabari are the last two we haven’t visited yet.
There’s a couple of cold drinks waiting there with our names on them.
